Coopersburg, PA (September 9, 2009) – Lutron Electronics Co., Inc., is pleased to announce the expansion of its tensioned shade family of products. Tensioned shades include solutions for skylights, bottom-up, and angled windows based on innovative design that keeps fabric panels taut and parallel to windows with minimal sag at slopes from 0 to +135 degrees.
Lutron’s innovative design is fully self-contained within an aluminum frame that mitigates the effects of out-of-square openings and other construction variances. The tensioned shade minimizes light gaps around fabric and maximizes the view when open. The frame may be installed inside an opening or recessed into a pocket with minimalistic style while still providing access to the mechanisms within. The product can ship fully-assembled from the factory, or can arrive as a kit and be assembled onsite.
Available in Sivoia QED®, Sivoia® QS, and Sivoia QS Wireless technologies, the tensioned shade family makes it easy to maximize daylight penetration into spaces, reduce solar heat gain, and minimize glare.
"With the expansion of the tensioned shade family, Lutron can provide quiet, precision control for the most forward thinking architectural window designs in the market," said Drew Placido, Director of Window Systems Sales for Lutron.
The tensioned shade family is available in a large variety of sheer, privacy and blackout fabric families to suit any application and enhance décor for both commercial and residential applications.
The Sivoia QED, Sivoia QS, and Sivoia QS Wireless families of controllable shading products include roller shades, drapery track systems, Roman shades, skylight and bottom-up shades. All systems operate with ultra-quiet precision, low-voltage drives, and offer many options for fabrics and controls. Sivoia allows designers, architects, builders, and homeowners to utilize a custom-built shading system with various configurations and fabrics that are suited to their specific application.
