Lutron Introduces Ripplefold for Alena-Pull-to-Start Drapery

Modern, elegant style comes with multiple options, extends Alena portfolio

Coopersburg, PA (April 11, 2019)Lutron Electronics, the leader in lighting controls and automated shading solutions, is pleased to introduce the Ripplefold style for its Alena Pull-to-Start Drapery solution – an enhancement that brings a graceful, tailored look to hotel guestroom curtains.

The Ripplefold joins the Pinchpleat style in Lutron’s Alena lineup. Both styles are designed to work seamlessly with the Alena Pull-to-Start Drapery Track, known for its reliability, simplicity, and integration with guestroom solutions.

“Alena helped to elevate the guest experience by providing a very simple, elegant drapery solution for the hotel guestroom,” says Olivier Perrigueur, Vice President - Global Specifications Sales and Business at Lutron. “The Ripplefold style provides another option for Lutron clients, making Alena an even more attractive solution.”

Ripplefold is available in three different fullness options: 80%, 100%, and 120%.

The Alena Pull-to-Start Drapery Track, introduced three years ago, is available as a standalone solution or can be integrated into Lutron lighting and guestroom control systems. Alena drapery tracks deliver Lutron’s distinctive smooth performance and utilize the Lutron Ultra-quiet Electronic Drive Unit (EDU), a low-voltage, near-silent drive that communicates via Lutron wired, wireless, or third-party keypads. Alena makes the Ripplefold style -- like Pinchpleat -- easy to operate.

Guests open or close the system by pressing a button or gently tugging on the fabric. A remote keypad will also allow the drapery to stop midway to provide the desired amount of daylight or darkness. Installation is plug-and-play, with an easy, efficient setup requiring no programming. This minimizes installation time and cost.

Lutron designs, engineers, and manufactures the track, power supply, and controls, ensuring their quality meets the company’s exacting standards from creation to production.

Alena Pull-to-Start Drapery is designed to mesh seamlessly with the Lutron myRoom hospitality solution. Moreover, customers can select their soft fabric of choice from Lutron’s extensive dealer affiliates, giving their guestrooms a look as distinctive as Alena itself.

Alena is one of several Lutron daylight controls, which reduce glare, preserve views, save energy, and help improve the overall guest experience. It’s no wonder you’ll find Lutron in some of the most recognized hotels in the world.
