Experience the Lutron Difference at AIA 2012 National Convention and Design Expo Booth# 2939

Innovative light and shade control ensures superior performance and energy savings
Coopersburg, PA (May 15, 2012) – Light control manufacturer Lutron Electronics is showcasing its comprehensive lineup of innovative, energy-saving technologies and light and shade control solutions at the annual American Institute of Architects (AIA) National Convention and Design Expo, May 17-19, in Washington, DC. Lutron will be located at booth # 2939.

This year’s booth, boasting the theme “The Lutron Difference,” educates AIA attendees, including architects and design professionals, that light control is an elegant, scalable, and affordable solution for energy management, architectural lighting, new construction and retrofit applications.

Booth Highlights

NEW Roller 300 with Lutron Intelligent Façade Technology (LIFT) – Lutron is pleased to announce its latest innovation in automated shading solutions, capable of controlling 300 square feet of fabric from just one low-voltage shade drive. LIFT provides the highest value in dynamic shading today by offering affordable control of an entire bay of shades from one drive, using the best low-voltage shading technology available.

NEW Maestro Occupancy/Vacancy Sensing Switches – Now, it’s simpler than ever to incorporate occupancy/vacancy sensors into any building’s energy-savings strategy. Lutron is pleased to announce its new line of Maestro Occupancy/Vacancy Sensing Switches that automatically turn lights on and off. The sensors provide significant technological advancements, including working with all bulb types and ambient light detection.

NEW Radio Shadow Sensor – The new, wireless, window-mounted sensor enhances the performance of the Lutron Hyperion solar adaptive shading technology by monitoring exterior light levels and raising shades to save energy and maximize views when shadows are cast on buildings or cloudy conditions prevail. The Radio Shadow sensor communicates wirelessly via the Lutron Clear Connect radio frequency technology, making installation and commission easy and keeping maintenance costs low.

NEW Q-Control+ Apple iPad App – The much anticipated Q-Control+ iPad app for the Lutron Quantum Total Light Management System offers simple, handheld system control and monitoring, enabling convenient in-space adjustment and programming of light and shade levels. Ideal for facility managers, lighting designers and end-users, the new Q-Control+ iPad app compliments the flexibility of Quantum by providing the ability to create the perfect light environment for any commercial space.

NEW Maestro C•L Dimmer – The popular Maestro digital fade dimmer has been added to the successful C•L collection. This industry-first digital fade dimmer works not only with today’s most popular light bulbs, such as incandescents and halogens, but also with dimmable compact fluorescents (CFLs) and dimmable LEDs. The Maestro C•L dimmer offers multi-location dimming, gradual fade-to-on and off functionality, the ability to work with a standard 3-way switch, and requires no special wiring.

Lutron Shading Solutions – Daylight invigorates the workplace, but can also decrease productivity as a result of glare and solar heat gain. Regulate daylight in commercial spaces with shading solutions designed to optimize comfort and lower energy costs. Lutron is showcasing its new fire-rated fabric offering for battery-powered insulating honeycomb shades along with new shading styles and technologies that seamlessly integrate with Lutron light control systems, including GRAFIK Eye QS, Energi Savr Node and Quantum, plus RadioRA 2 and HomeWorks QS total home control systems.
