Frequently Asked Questions

 1. At what point can a customer no longer make changes to an order?
- The customer cannot make changes to an order once it has been recieved at Lutron. If the customer wants to make a change, the order is pulled out of production and the lead-time does start over.
 2. What is a rush request?
- A rush request is a request to expedite the manufacturing time of an order. We take rush requests, but do not guarantee that the ship date will be improved.
- We will review our production schedule regularly to determine if the current ship date can be improved.
 3. When does the lead-time for an order begin?
- The lead-time begins once Lutron receives the order. If the order is received on a non-business day, the lead-time will begin with the next business day.
 4. What is a COM?
- A COM is a Customer Owned Material. It is anything that a customer will send to Lutron and we will use.
i. Ex: custom fabric, shade that needs to be cut down, custom paint sample
 5. What is a TBD?
- An item that is To Be Determined.
i. Ex: drive side, mount location, hembar type, metal color, fabric color
ii. TBD's can only be items that will not affect the final price of the shade
iii. TBD's must be answered prior to ordering
 6. How does a customer get a fabric sample?
- Email the sample request, including ship to address, to shadingquotes@lutron.com
 7. What does a customer do if the shade they want quoted cannot be built with the SCT tool?
- The request must be emailed to shadingquotes@lutron.com
 8. What is the difference between an e-quote and an e-order?
- E-quote is not released into production
- E-order is accepted as order sign off and released to production
- E-quotes can be revised, e-orders cannot be revised
- E-orders require a customer code to transmit, e-quotes do not
 9. What is the Customer Code?
- The Customer Code is a specific access code that is linked directly to their account information.
- The code is required to transmit an e-order
10. How does one get their Customer Code?
- Send an email to shadingquotes@lutron.com. The email should include the company name, shipping info, and email address of the person using the code

- Roller 64
i. 3.5" round or square fascia
ii. 3.5" top/back cover
iii. 3.5" x 3.5" pocket with 2" flap

i. 4" fascia and top/back cover
