Lutron Plans RadioRA 2 and HomeWorks QS Software Releases, Updates Home Control + App

Updates include software improvements, new features, and new products

Coopersburg, PA (September 11, 2014)Lutron Electronics, the leader in energy-saving, wireless lighting and shade control, is announcing new product support and new features for its RadioRA 2 and HomeWorks QS design and programming software, as well as an update to its popular Home Control + app.

HomeWorks QS software version 8.0 includes software improvements, new features, and new product support.

Software improvements:
  1. Import/export command sets for third‑party devices
  2. Add wired keypads from HomeWorks Interactive and HomeWorks Illumination using a new link type (purchase required) to facilitate upgrades
  3. Security mode added
  4. Lock and unlock zones or keypads outside of security mode
  5. New #EDIT command allows third-party systems to make and save changes to lighting and shading scenes from their touchscreen
  6. Shared scenes are organized in alphabetical order in the programming section

New product support:
  1. RF GRAFIK T dimmer, switch, and accessory control
  2. Radio Window sensors
  3. New options for the Ivalo Finiré, Aliante family, and L’ale families
  4. 4-button Pico wireless remote control

RadioRA 2 software version 8.0 includes software improvements, new features, and new product support.

Software improvements:
  1. Timeclock catch-up—the timeclock will execute missed events after a power loss
  2. Assign the areas an HVAC controller effects for the Home Control+ app
  3. Add non-system Maestro sensors to the floor plan and BOM
  4. Ability to override the dimmer chosen by the software for LED and fluorescent load types
  5. Download/access app notes directly from the software

New product support:
  1. RF GRAFIK T dimmer, switch, and accessory control
  2. 4-Button Pico wireless control
  3. System-enabled 4-group RF remote control

Faceplate engraving
  1. Engrave/order faceplates directly from the software
  2. Spell check for button engraving on the programming screen as well as the interactive engraving report

Lutron Home Control+ app version 8.0 includes new features and supports new products.
  1. Keypad builder feature allows homeowner to create new scenes, edit existing scenes, create new timeclock events, or edit existing timeclock events – reduces the number of follow-up visits for new scene creation and adjustment
  2. Fade and delay editing for zones controlled by timeclock events and keypad buttons
  3. Support for indicating zones and keypads locked by security mode, as well as prevents editing of locked zones/keypads

Software updates and the updated app will be available October 31.
