Lutron Introduces the Atelier Fabric Collection: A Stunning Selection of Roller Shade Fabrics Featuring Natural Textures and Elegant Earth Tones

Coopersburg, PA (September 7th, 2017) – Lighting and shade control leader Lutron Electronics today announced the launch of a curated roller shade fabric collection that beautifully balances design and function. The Atelier Collection features a variety of neutral colors and subtle textures, ideal for any residential space, with a generous selection of whites, off-whites and beiges to appeal to the most discerning homeowners.

Window coverings are ultimately a design element in a space, and designers seek fabrics with subtle patterns in neutral colors that can outlive design trends. Fabrics in the Atelier Collection range from simple and elegant, to complement other interior design elements like wall and floor coverings and upholstery, to bold and unique patterns, distinct enough to make the window the focal point of a room.

The Collection’s 128 fabric options are available as both blackouts and sheers, and have a useable width of 108”. The Atelier Collection includes six new fabric families:
1. Bouclé: Bold and textured, resembling a delicate tweed
2. Hachure: Tailored, with a cross-hatch pattern inspired by woven linen
3. Matrice: A striking grid design that adds visual dimension to a space
4. Pochoir: A delicate floral pattern, with a reversible color palette
5. Satine: Smooth and elegant with a polished, lustrous finish
6. Stria: A refined, ribbed fabric composed of natural cottons in a horizontal pattern

“As an engineering company, Lutron has historically focused on the performance of our shade fabrics,” said Ed Blair, Senior Vice President at Lutron. “The new Atelier Collection beautifully blends both performance and design to deliver automated shades to a wider, design-focused audience.”

When curating these fabrics, Lutron found inspiration in the atelier, the European workshop or studio used by artists and designers to hone their craft. When paired with Lutron shades, these fabrics undergo strenuous quality testing and all shades and fabrics are hand inspected to ensure flawless aesthetics and performance.

According to Blair, the Atelier Collection allows dealers to be even more competitive by offering a luxury line to high-end clients and specifiers. To support the launch, new tools are available to dealers, including a new fabric binder organized by color for easy specification.

The collection will be available at the end of September, through Lutron’s fully qualified shades dealers across the U.S. and Canada. Visit to view the new collection.
